Mr.  Greg  Danner

I was born and raised in Boynton Beach, Florida, and I immediately found it too hot.

Just 30 years later, my wife and I brought our sons to Alaska and settled here in the Valley where we have lived for the past 22 years.

Along the way, I've been a zoo keeper, museum curator, freelance textbook author, and artist. My interest in robotics started (as many things in my life have) with an interest in fish and my desire to build an autonomous submersible so that I could see what the fish were doing while the lake was covered in ice.

I first taught robotics in 2003, and I'm looking forward to a successful year with the CTHS robotics teams!

Mr. Ed Miller

I am a developer of electronics hardware and software. I have a strong interest remote sensing, computer vision and machine learning. I have worked in high-tech companies both large and small across a range of industries. Besides programming and electronics, I bring experience in fundraising, planning and project management.

In my current role as a Senior Principal Engineer at Arm, I lead many of the technical engagements with strategic software partners. I am a volunteer developer and director for the BearID Project as well as an AWS Machine Learning Hero. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

I’m looking forward to a great year with CTHS team #15947! This is my rookie year with FTC, so I expect to learn a lot from the team. I hope to provide them with useful guidance along the way.
